Oh, hey, looks like you want to get to know me more! Hi again! Take a seat, I've always got a lot to say.

Roblox Development

My main hobby is game development. More specifically, I've been a solo Roblox developer since 2016; been doing it since I was a kid. Initially, I just did it for fun, and-... well, I still do, but nowadays I also monetize it.

The first game I made that really made a splash was Bus Stop Simulator, inspired by other AFK games such as Subway Simulator. It was also originally made as a joke game, a genre of which I had a habit of mass producing back then.

With my amateur game dev skills and literally no plan other than the premise of "wait at a bus stop for a bus that never comes", I managed to cobble together a spaghetti-coded fever dream of whatever ideas that my kid brain thought would be funny and/or cool.

Apparently, a lot of players (mostly kids my age) thought it was the coolest thing, and I occasionally still get people thanking me for creating a game that they look back on with nostalgia. This never stops feeling weird, especially because the people who tell me this are usually about as old as I am.

After that, I went on to make Warm Isolation, a hangout game inspired by the "vibe game" trend on Roblox that was relevant at the time, and generic zombie apoclypse RP, an oldschool kid-friendly freeform roleplay game.

As you might be able to tell from this lineup, I ended up specializing in social-oriented games. This wasn't so surprising in hindsight after I realized I was an annoyingly huge extrovert and a huge nerd for psychology and sociology.

Writing & Roleplay

I actually used to be terrified of creative writing. When I was younger, I would cry in class at the thought of having to write anything that wasn't dry nonfiction. In other words, I was terrified of putting my heart onto the page. Later, I realized that I actually rather enjoyed writing once I was able to push past that fear or otherwise find an excuse to silence it.

One of those ways was turning writing into play, which I discovered through online roleplay and fanfiction. To me, being given a pen and giving me a prompt was intimidating because I felt it had to be taken seriously, but making something up so I could play pretend with a bunch of others seemed considerably less daunting because I thought of it as just a part of a game.

I also found enjoyment in writing fanfiction for a similar reason. Many people regard fanfiction as a rather trashy form of literature, and I knew this even back then. In my mind, this meant that if I wrote fanfiction, it would be impossible to mess it up! After all, anything even remotely resembling a decent story would already be better than the average fanfic!

Unfortunately, most of the fanfiction I wrote when I was younger was for and within small communities and, as such, is largely lost to time. However, I'll still occasionally post on Ao3 when I'm in the mood for it.

D&D & TTRPGs

Getting into roleplay naturally led to me finding out about Dungeons & Dragons and wanting to play it. After running the notorious gauntlet of trying to find a group that doesn't fizzle out after the first session, I managed to find a permanent group, and had a blast playing through stories in a more organized fashion than the completely improvisational roleplay I'd grown accustomed to.

Much later, I was elated to find that Dungeons & Dragons was only one of many games in the wider genre of tabletop roleplay! As a matter of fact, it turned out I much preferred Powered by the Apocalypse systems, which are much lighter on mechanics and heavier on maintaining narrative momentum.

So on and so forth...

As much as I'd like to stuff this page chock full of anything and everything I've ever found fascinating about the world, let's just say I find a lot of things fascinating. Far too many to describe in their entirety on a page that's supposed to just be an introduction to who I am!

If, somehow, you haven't already fallen asleep from reading the glut of text on this page and you want to hear more of my shower-thoughts-turned-essays, check out my blog!

But, if that's all for now, thanks once again for stopping by. Don't be afraid to leave a message!
